“Seven Psychopaths” is one of those ambitious movies that is as demented, strange and unhinged as the title would suggest. Come for murder and mayhem, stay for the wry wit and the killer cast.
Also this week, a ho-hum animated movie that explores Dracula’s hospitality skills and yet another “Paranormal Activity” movie.
“Seven Psychopaths”
A struggling screenwriter, played by Colin Farrell is having a hard time finding inspiration for the movie he is writing titled “Seven Psychopaths.” How meta can you get? Fortunately he crosses paths with the likes of Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken and Woody Harrelson and finds all the crazy he can handle.
“Hotel Transylvania”
Dracula, voiced by Adam Sandler, builds a hotel for monsters that is free from pitchfork-welding humans. When an actual human does show up, he catches the eye of Drac’s daughter. Banality and occasional chuckles ensue.

“Paranormal Activity 4”
These movies creep me out way too much to watch any of them. I’m sure more unsettling things are captured on grainy home-video cameras resulting in many a sleepless night. If you’re into that sort of thing, go nuts.
