Trailer Park: 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones'

I am genuinely torn about this trailer. On one hand it looks really cool and I am generally supportive of anything involving monster hunting. "Buffy," "Blade" and even those "Underworld" movies can be a lot of fun, provided they don't take themselves too seriously.

I am also pro-Jared Harris, so anytime he shows up in a movie the odds of it sucking drop off pretty fast.

That's the good news.

The bad news is it is based on a series of popular, young-adult fantasy novels and features a girl who at first seems to be painfully normal but ultimately learns she is "special." She is then shown a broader world by a hunky, supernatural heartthrob.

All of this sets off enough "Twilight" warning signals to make me want to run screaming to my underground bunker in the backyard.

I am simultaneously intrigued and terrified. Judge for yourself and watch out for the last line of the trailer, which I'm pretty sure if used as a pickup line in a bar will immediately get you thrown in jail.
